  1. Well, you can try ebay or you can try your local craigslist. I LOVE craigslist!!!
  2. go to www.bidz.com great site
  3. I got mine on Ebay...gorgeous!! plus it was only $500, 14K white gold..diamonds...came with appraisal cert. for $2500!
  4. seriously, costco has some nice rings, and they have high quality diamonds, too. other than that most shopping mall jewelry stores have pretty inexpensive rings, you just won't be getting super high quality diamonds.
  5. message me.
  6. try synthetic diamonds... lab grown ones are just as beautiful and the quality is just as good... my dad got me an incredible diamond necklace and earring set that's synthetic and no one can tell... i still feel great in them, because they're special from someone special...
  7. Check out: http://carat.cc/htm/flash.htm Or when you google "Fake diamond" (lol) their page will come up pretty easily. Yes, they are synthetic gems, but they are pretty. Unlike some synthetic gems, the jewelry is still of a high quality. (real gold) Maybe you can look at it as a values-statement: You want something pretty, but who needs to spend thousands on a symbol? The point of a symbol is what is behind it: the love.
  8. www.bidz.com has great rings and great prices
  9. Let your bf choose the ring, whatever it is he can afford. Ever heard of the symbolism of the engagement ring? The cost and kind don't matter a whit to a mature woman. If you want some serious bling, buy yourself a dressy ring and pay through the nose for it. But give the guy his due and his pride, and let him buy the engagement ring.
  10. If you go to a gemstone supplier and purchase the diamond through them you will save a lot of money!! The band is relatively cheap and the process of setting the diamond is also a minimal cost. This is the best way to get the best quality ring and the lowest price!
  11. Listen to your brain, what do you think is the right thing to do. She obviously lay's the law down quite a bit, now it's your turn. Lay down your law with her, tell her what YOU want. If she don't like it than your marriage might not be worth it. In a marriage it takes two to tango. Both have to be willing to make sacrifices and work as a team. 12. Go to: Kay Jewelers Its a Engagement Ring/Wedding Band Jewelry store. Go to the website first- type it in at Google
  13. Absolutely do not buy a "fake" engagement ring. Before my fiance and I picked out my current engagement ring, I had a "fake" engagement ring as a placeholder. Yes, it served the purpose in letting others know that I was engaged. However, there is absolutely nothing that can compare to the brilliance of a diamond. Everyone will know that your engagement ring is "fake." And if you get a "fake" engagement ring, what happens when you choose to replace it? Personally, it felt like I was living a lie when I had a "fake" engagement ring. To find a ring that is both beautiful and low-cost, you really have to do some research. First of all, avoid jewelry stores. Engagement rings are automatically overpriced. Secondly, the internet is your friend. Lastly, and most importantly, buy the diamond and the ring separately. Search the internet for "loose diamonds", "semi-mounts", and "ring settings." You'll be amazed at what you come up with. My fiance spent $1500 on my engagement ring in the end. He bought a beautiful wedding set semi-mount pictured here: http://www.philipnoel.com/_e/_500_999/product/sku%5F00651%2Dring/14K_White_Gold_2_Pcs_Ladies_Wedding_Ring_Set_0_84_TCW.htm At the time, however, it was $200. Additionally, he purchased an amazing 1.47 carat H-VVS2 round diamond. Research the 4 c's very carefully before you buy. Additionally, after you purchase both the diamond and the semi-mount, take it immediately to a jeweler. The jeweler can appraise the diamond (to ensure that you actually got what you paid for over the internet), and, obviously, the jewelery must place the diamond into the semi-mount. This is all done for a very nominal fee. Additionally, it is perfectly fine to help your boyfriend find a ring! Women wear jewelry more than men, so we tend to know more about jewelry than men. Try talking to the common man about the 4 c's. I speak from personal experience when I say that men truly appreciate a woman's help. It take a lot of the pressure off! And when the woman helps, he can buy the best ring possible for the cheapest price possible with her help. Obviously, if the man truly loves her, he would want to buy her both the best ring possible as well as the perfect ring for her. The woman has to live with it forever- she should get some input!
  14. I also would recommend Ebay
  15. Zales,Kays,Macys, Sears,JCPenneys just those few come to mind
  16. ebay, craigslist, Costco, Sam's Club. Is there a jewelery district somewhere near you? My diamond was already 75 years old when I had it set. It's a beauty too. But then, we went to downtown LA for it. Good luck
